slowmo blog 01.1

Video for the web and in particular video for social media is becoming an increasingly crowded marketplace. At Manto we’re always looking for ways to make our clients’ videos stand out from the crowd. Earlier in the year we invested in a new camera which, among many other amazing things, allows us to shoot stunning slow motion. Without getting too technical about it, we can now shoot up to 400 frames per second in full HD resolution, which is 16 times slower than real life. Slow motion is not something to be used for the sake of it, but it can add an amazing extra dimension to a video project, giving footage a genuinely cinematic feel, and allowing you to slow action down and capture a level of detail that is otherwise impossible.

We use it sparingly but have got some amazing results when we have used it. So much so that we’ve put together a little montage of slow motion clips that we’ve captured. If you’re interested in using slow motion in a production, or you have questions about anything else video related, then please do get in touch, we’d love to chat to you.
